Christian formation for children

Sunday School

Sunday School provides a nurturing and educational setting where children become familiar with the Christian faith and grow in appreciation for the history, traditions, and worship of the Armenian Orthodox Church.

Learning the faith

Classes introduce children to the Bible, the sacraments, the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and the Armenian Christian heritage received across generations.

Age-appropriate lessons are led by caring parish volunteers who help students ask questions, pray, learn, and recognize the Church as their spiritual home.

Formed through worship

Christian education is joined to the liturgical life of the parish. Students spend time in the sanctuary, learn the meaning of the services, and are encouraged to prepare for Confession and Holy Communion with their families.

Seasonal programs, pageants, service projects, and family activities give students opportunities to share what they have learned with the whole parish community.

A welcome for young families

Children under Sunday School age may use the parish's activity bags during worship. These quiet resources help families remain together in the sanctuary while young children become familiar with its prayers, music, incense, and sacred images.
